REVIEW: Maybelline Dream Pure 8-in-1 BB Cream

I wanted to share my favourite BB cream at the moment with you! It's the Maybelline Dream Pure 8-in-1 BB cream with SPF 15. Maybelline also has the Dream Fresh in their BB cream line (the pink one). I picked up the one for medium skin tones.

I searched for some reviews and most of the reviews said that the Dream Pure is better for my skin type (I have combination skin). The Dream Pure BB cream is supposed to be for oily skin and contains 2% salicylic acid (BHA) which exfoliates the skin. However, I don't know if the Dream Pure has the right pH for a BHA to be effective, because the BHA is most effective at pH 3.0-4.0. But to be honest, I don't use a BB cream for its exfoliating purposes.

Maybelline promises 8 things for 'healthy-looking' skin:

I have to say Maybelline kept all their promises, except for minimising my pores. I didn't see a significant difference in pore size. Overall, I think the colour (for medium skin) matches my skintone very well. It give a light coverage, which I prefer. I have combination skin, so my face tends to get greasy throughout the day with dry patches. When I apply powder after putting on this BB cream, I don't get an oily feeling throughout the day, but it also isn't drying.

The only downside I can find is that is has a typical smell, which I can't really describe. For me it's not that bothering, but it might be for others. It isn't that unpleasant but it also doesn't smell nice or something. It is probably because there is no perfume in it, which I like because I'm sensitive to perfume. Furthermore, I also like that the BB cream comes in a squeeze tube, which is makes the BB cream easy to dose.

Conclusion: It's my favourite BB cream at the moment! Nice light coverage, not too heavy and doesn't get greasy throughout the day. It also isn't very expensive ;)
